July 6th

I must say I was pleasantly surprised this morning. My weight is what it was 15 weeks ago.... (guess I better hit the pavement hard in this heat to be sure that I don't over gain- better wait till evening time, hoping to get in three hours of walking a week - at least 1 hour every other day)

Blood pressure was 124/70 Yeah pretty on target for me & pregnancy. My iron count was the best it has ever been .... 13.8 YEAH!!!!!!!!!! (where is all my energy though)? I found out why. With Abigail since it was winter... I didn't get a lot of Vit. C (I guess) But I hate store bought tomatoes (very high in vit. C which helps the body absorb the iron) I have 16 tomato plants and so far I haven't put any in the freezer or canned any either.... So I eat them straight from the garden, on sandwiches, or in a salad. Lucky me and good for the baby.

I go in for my Quad Screening on July 30th, and my next appointment with the Dr. is on Aug. 3rd. Was really hoping to possible get my gender ultrasound at that point, but the current ultrasound is saying that I am only 13 weeks and 4 days. Due date (mine is 12/27 or the Dr will induce on 12/30 or 12/31. So according to the current readings as far as gestational age I won't get my ultrasound for gender determination until the end of Aug. first of Sept.

June 8th

My appointment went well, today. I am still under my original weigh in from April 27th... My blood pressure was 130/80. My iron as already started dropping (it needs to maintain between 11.1-17.1 but it is already 10.8. I am already on 325 mg of prescription iron a day... and it is dropping. More iron related foods, I got to eat, but I am already eating about as much as I can handle/keep down. My pregnancy with Abigail was termed an "anemic pregnancy" and so is this one. I got this low and lower with Abigail... Low iron = NO engery. And I have zilch already. Another ultrasound was done. Got to see the baby flipping around and moving all over the place. Made getting pictures difficult because they were all blurry. But I took them anyway. Will have to scan and post one on here.

My next appointment is on July 6th @ 9 AM. Before the next appointment, I should be able to hear the baby's heartbeat on the home doppler I have.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday baby girl.... You are one today and you are very special. I can't believe how fast this past year has gone. It seems like only yesterday; I was giving birth. I remember it all so very well. Well, I am happy to have you and to watch you grow.

Two days away...

Abigail will be 1 in just two days. I can't believe that 1 year ago today. I went in for my last Dr.'s appointment. WOW how time flies. It has been such a great year too. I can't believe all the different things she can do now and how much she has grown. She has her 1 year appointment on the 26th of May. I can't wait to see how tall she is or how much she weighs. Brian and I will be taking her to Olive Garden that night... Yeah it is more for us than it is for her. We have a gift card and that is why we are going.

8 Weeks

It's Sunday, I am eight weeks along and can't wait till my next appointment so I will/can feel better about everything. I will be nearly 11 weeks at my next appointment and that is a point whenI start feeling better about everything, as I am past the most dangerous part of the pregnancy "I hope." I have faith that God will bring us another baby. (Boy/girl) it doesn't matter. We just want another healthy child. This is a website photo of a baby at 8 weeks.

Wedding

Well, today Betsy (Aunt Bee) and Tim (now Uncle Tim) got married. It was a very beautiful outdoor wedding at Pleasant Ridge Park. Very thankful that the rain held off for the better part of the day. Had rain till about 11:30 and then it started to sprinkle around 5:30 when we left.

Today's appointment

Well, I had an appointment today. We got to see our little peanut. The Dr. estimates the 27th of Dec. (according to my cycle) According to the ultrasound ~ the baby is "small" and it says EDD of 1-3-10. However, if the baby hasn't arrived by the 29th then there will be an induction on the 30/31 of Dec. My guess is that it would be the 30th since that is my Dr.'s surgery days. My next appointment is on June 8th @ 8:45 AM. Here is a picture of our little peanut.

Mother's Day

I am so blessed that God has made me a mother. With all that we have been through and the miscarriages that made me a mother to little angels; it is finally so wonderful to hav a daughter to hold in my arms. She loves to give kisses and I love receiving every last one of them.

Today was an overall simple day. Spent the day with my husband and daughter till Brian had to go to work. Then Abigail and I went to spend time with my mom, dad and sisters with some extended family members too. The news was broke to them and they were all so very happy for Brian, Abigail, and I.

Lab Results

They are back from last Monday. My hcg levels were 609 but the levels do double every 48/72 hours.

My progesterone levels were 18.5 much better than last time but I am still to remain on the progesterone suppositories. I did find out that breastfeeding moms tend to produce more progesterone. One good thing still going in my favor in nursing Abigail. Looking forward to my appointment on May 11th.

6 Weeks today

Here is a website photo of what the fetus looks like at six weeks along, and that is how far along I am. I will post website photos each week. When the time comes that I can get my own ultrasound pictures I will post those along with website photos so we can compare. Best wishes to all those reading this blog.

Names are picked out

Well, I must say the one thing that took us forever to decide with our last pregnancy (Abigail) was a girls name. Picking out a boys name was easy. So when we found out we were pregnant this time; name debating isn't something I wanted to do this time around. Brian and I threw out names that we both liked; now here 5 days later we have decided on a first and middle name, as well. So we have a name for either gender ~ so when we find out we will actually already have a name to put with the baby.

Dr. Visit (5 weeks and 1 day ~ along)

Well, today I had my first appointment with Dr. Rivera. Things look good so far and I am on 100mg a day of progesterone for the next two weeks. In two weeks, May 11th, I will be going back in for an ultrasound. It was supposed to be May 26th, but he called me back before the close of the day and asked me to come back in two vs. four weeks. I am happy to hear this and will get to see the first of our little baby. I went and had all my lab work drawn... Grrrrrr I hate needles with a passion. This is currently what our little "peanut" looks like. This is a website photo... not a photo of baby Roach.

April 23rd ~ 2009

Today, I found out that I am pregnant! I am 18 days post peak and in a danger zone for sure. I have a history of miscarriages and (finally carried a baby to term) ~ our daughter, Abigail.
We found out early in her pregnancy that I have low progesterone and had to take a suppository for 10 weeks (to get past the first trimester). I am posting a picture of my family taken on Easter Sunday... little did we know at that time God had blessed us with yet another blessing. It is in his timing and his will if we carry another baby to term. I am hoping that He does choose to let us carry this precious baby to term, as well. I will be calling the Dr. on 4-24-09 as soon as the office opens to get in and see him. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.
